Hi, I’m Alyssa, the founder and manager of Pawtastic Spa and Resort. My passion for animals began early in life and has only grown over the years. As a certified veterinary technician from Fox College, I bring a deep understanding of pet care and well-being to everything I do. While I primarily manage the business, I also work part-time as a groomer, ensuring our furry clients receive the best care possible.

I’m a proud mom to my amazing 5-year-old daughter, Julianna, who brings so much love and light into my life. My faith as a Christian woman guides me daily, and I find joy in going to church, volunteering, and sharing God’s love with those around me.

The idea for Pawtastic Spa and Resort first came to me in 2013, but it wasn’t until 2020 that it became a reality. Since then, it has been my mission to create a space where pets are treated like family and thrive both internally and externally. I love finding ways to improve our services, always focusing on the happiness and health of the pets we care for.

When I’m not at Pawtastic, I enjoy spending quality time with my daughter, playing volleyball, and exploring nature. These moments help me recharge and remind me of the beauty of God’s creation.

Building relationships with our clients and their pets is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. Every pet that comes through our doors is treated with love, patience, and care, and it brings me so much joy to see them leave looking and feeling their best.

Groomer

Hi, I’m Jenna! I’m a passionate and experienced pet stylist with over a decade of grooming expertise. My journey in the pet grooming industry began in 2011, right after high school, when I attended A Paw Fect Cut in Frankfort, Illinois, to earn my professional grooming certificate. Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to making pets look and feel their absolute best, always prioritizing their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Originally from Russia, I was adopted and moved to the United States at the age of eight. My experiences growing up have shaped me into a caring and hardworking individual, and that same dedication extends to the pets I groom. I believe that every pet deserves a stress-free, positive grooming experience, and I strive to make that a reality with every appointment.

I’ve been happily married for 10 years and have two amazing kids, ages 10 and 6. My family means everything to me, and we love spending time outdoors, traveling, fishing, and going on walks. We’re also huge Disney fans and always look forward to our next magical adventure!

At home, we share our lives with Nala, our playful and energetic Siberian Husky/Australian Shepherd mix. Having a high-energy dog myself, I understand the importance of proper grooming, coat care, and keeping pets comfortable in their own skin. I take great pride in my work and treat every pet as if they were my own, ensuring they leave my care looking great and feeling even better.

Bather

Hi, I’m Marisol, the bather here at Pawtastic Spa and Resort. I’ve been working in this role for about four months. When I started as a part-time employee, I was simply helping Alyssa to earn some extra cash as a college student. But over time, I discovered that this is more than just a job—it’s my passion. I found so much joy and comfort in working with animals, and it has truly become something I love to do.

I grew up in the city of Chicago but later moved to Frankfort with my family of seven. Family has always been an important part of my life, and I cherish spending quality time with them. Along with that, my faith plays a central role in who I am. I have a strong spiritual connection with God and find great peace and strength in my relationship with Him. I love going to church, growing in my faith as a Christian, and sharing God’s love with others.

One of my favorite parts of this job is building relationships—not just with the animals, but also with their wonderful owners. I enjoy getting to know our clients and making them feel like part of the Pawtastic family. And of course, I take pride in ensuring every dog leaves smelling amazing and looking their best, thanks to a great grooming process.

Outside of work, I enjoy simple joys like family gatherings, reading scripture, and finding new ways to strengthen my walk with God. It’s my goal to not only bring care and happiness to the animals I work with but also to spread kindness and positivity to everyone I meet.
